Ida’s Italian Cuisine Restaurant opens.

Operated by John Bruno, it is located at 3 Mechanic Street. The restaurant offers a unchanging menu of meals prepared by Bruno’s wife, Luisa D’Ippolito, and sister, Inex Cagglianelli. His son, John Jr. subsequently takes over the restaurant. It closes in 2013.
